My Top 5 Tips on How to Love Your MONEY
Loving money… is about the joy of money, being grateful for having money and all that you can do with money.
To help you get into the right mood to love your money, let’s start with a subtle smile and verbalizing the following words whilst holding cash in your hand. “I love you money, I love every money transaction, including increasing my cash savings, because I love you money.”
Yes, it’s going to feel silly and what’s good about that is you’re smiling and laughing, which releases happy chemicals that naturally lift your mood. Love, laughter and happiness are all scientifically proven to extend your life.
There’s no downside only upside, so of course you’re going to give these 5 tips your best shot.
Love money when you receive it. Always say thank you and be humble. Look the person in the eye and say a heartfelt loving “thank you.”
The money you receive helps you get what you want in life. What’s important is to let the money rest in your holding account for a bit, don’t be in a rush to spend it. Experience what it feels like to have money in your account. This builds a money mindset that there is always more money coming in than goes out.
Receiving and resting money in your account gives you time to wisely and calmly choose to exchange money into things or experiences to enrich your life, personally or professionally for yourself and loved ones.
So, love money like you love your car, your home, your garden, your cooking etc. Love the transaction and movement of money as it transforms from one state to another.
For example, food that you buy becomes a meal, petrol in your car gets you to your destination. Love your money, love your–self, love your life and the beautiful things you surround yourself with.
It is a fact, that you can only feel one emotion at a time, so don’t focus on money stress, focus on loving your money. This is a key way to turning money stress into money success.
Love paying your bills and the people who provide you with goods and services. This helps you be grateful for what you have received and to be grateful to the person who delivered the goods or services.
If you do not love handing over the money for services rendered, the question begs, is this about you, or the service provider that you have chosen? Why would you have anything in your life that you don’t love and love paying for?
Love asking for money. If you know and love the reason ‘why’ you’re asking for money, the asking becomes easier.
Practice the art of loving the act of asking for money.
When you love asking for money it can help build your self-esteem.
When you love asking for money, you’re saying to yourself, “I deserve it”. You’re telling yourself that you know and value your own self-worth.
Love your work. Love delivering great value to others so that they can see and know it is of value too. This is when you can stand still, look them in the eyes, and be proud of the results you have delivered, all whilst you lovingly ask for money.
Love gifting money. Love giving money to charitable causes that you love and respect.
Love the person that is collecting the money. It helps to know what the money becomes once you donate it. For example, it may be used for training, to provide shelter, blankets, or food baskets etc.
When you next see or hear about the charity that you have donated to, try to visualise your contribution, see where it has been used and love how you have helped. Feel that charitable sense inside, the heart felt warmth knowing you have made a positive impact that will change lives forever.
Here’s some extra things to think about!
- If the critical voices inside your head appears when you love your money, acknowledge the voice but stay on course loving your money.
- If asking for money is hard, practice in the mirror.
- The idea of ‘loving’ your money, is to make you smile, releasing happy chemicals like dopamine, serotonin etc. that will lift your mood and outlook on life.
